Corrina Rittwage

Registered Social Worker

I am no stranger to the courage and strength it takes to reach out for support during a difficult time, and I commend you for taking this step. I am a registered social worker with experience working in hospital settings providing mental health, addictions, case management and psychotherapy care to young, middle, and older adults. My care meets you where you are at, with warmth, compassion, empathy, and non-judgement. I create a space that is conducive to working on issues important to you through a foundation of client-centred, trauma-informed, strengths-based, and culturally sensitive care.

In therapy, we will create change in your brain (rewiring) through a concept called neuroplasticity, in which neurons that fire together will wire together. We will work to reorganize and forge new, more adaptive neural pathways by identifying and engaging in new and adaptive ways of thinking and behaving.

Emotions are information, and in therapy, we will develop the curiosity and awareness needed to guide you toward the solutions you already have within yourself. You are the expert on your life, and we will collaboratively identify and work through the changes needed to live a meaningful life that is congruent with your values! Let's get you back to being you!

Outside of therapy, you can find me singing, writing songs and poetry, cooking, learning, cuddling, or walking the city with my pug.
