"Owning our story can be hard but not nearly as difficult as spending our lives running
from it."

Fizza Khalid
Registered Psychotherapist
We all experience challenging emotions at some point in our lives. These emotions can leave us feeling lost and alone but they are all part of the human experience. Experiencing difficulties in life can be used as a gateway to learning more about ourselves. Our bodies, thoughts, feelings are temples that provide great knowledge and information about our own resilience and power. Your own trials and tribulations, achievements and accomplishments, all make you the person you are today – I want to use these to inspire you to discover your own capacity to heal. I acknowledge that we all have a unique set of life experiences, families, cultures, and backgrounds that have shaped each of our journeys, and the barriers we face in our everyday lives. This is why I take a culturally sensitive, client-focused approach to understand your own unique story.
I know reaching out for support can be scary for some of you. I foster a warm, welcoming, and non-judgmental approach to creating a space where you can feel safe and heard.
