Registered Social Worker

Reaching out for support can be stressful or intimidating for many people. In my role as a registered social worker, I will ensure to work collaboratively with you in a safe space to address your concerns, thoughts, emotions, or challenging life circumstances. I work from a client-centred, trauma informed, anti-oppressive framework with no judgement. With this, I can support you in exploring the connections between your thoughts, feelings, and experiences as well as building skills to manage them. As a social worker, I have worked in the child welfare system for almost 6 years with children, youth and diverse families. I use a holistic approach to healing without focusing only on one factor/issue. In my practice, it is important to consider all aspects of our lives, including family systems, health, social connections, occupation, community, culture, and recreational activities. Together, we can explore and solution build.

I am a first-generation Canadian who moved to Canada at the age of 3 years old. Growing up in Canada created challenges for me as I learned to navigate my way through my family, my culture, my identity, and the North American culture. I developed a great interest in mental health and later decided to pursue social work as I very much appreciate the compassionate, holistic approach we carry in our field. I completed a Bachelor of Science degree specialized in Mental Health from the University of Toronto, as well as a Bachelor of Social Work degree from the University of Western Ontario. I have also completed a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Windsor. I very much love to learn and enjoy taking part in educational opportunities and ongoing trainings.

During my free time, I am often spending time with my playful little dog out on walks or playing with her ball. I also enjoy spending time with friends and family or spending quality time on my own. I enjoy watching Netflix, spending time outdoors in nature, and journaling. I am a big advocate for self-care and I ensure to spend some time each week taking care of myself as well.
